The 4th COVID-19 wave has spread to 62 provinces and cities nationwide with unexpected turns and the dangerous Delta variant. This has put double the pressure on the need for doctoral force to the front-line as well as facilities for treatment, isolation centers.

With the determination in joining hands to maximize control and limit the spread, FPT has actively worked with government officials to offer current technology solutions to utilize resources and strengthen safety levels. Focusing on deploying technology solutions to field hospitals and supporting action plans in the front-line, FPT has been putting effort into taking the edge off workload and ensuring higher safety for the aching force who deal directly with COVID-19.

Collaboration with the Government's Officials at Departments to track down COVID-19 spread

The application of technology solutions in the process of control and detection of the disease has ultimately freed up the enormous workload of the call center. Based on that, we can re-focus this force at the call center to hot spots of COVID-19 treatment.

Specifically, only 24 hours after receiving the urgent information from the National COVID-19 Commanding Board, FPT had finalized voiceBot - the virtual assistant which helped to boost efficiency in tracking down cases nationwide. Up until now, voiceBot had successfully made 2.2 million voice calls to 1.2 million people in 6 provinces, contributing to detecting thousands of cases with symptoms.

Back in 2020, within 7 days, FPT had a collaboration with the Department of Health and launched the virtual assistant nCov into practice to automatically spread out information and handle people's concerns about the pandemic.

Maintain the continuous connection among field hospitals

According to the urgent need of field hospitals nationwide, FPT had sped up and applied the current strength in technology to deploy facilities. This had helped with online consultation and meetings, ultimately reduced direct exposure to protect the doctors, prevented the spread, and strengthened the safe, effective operation of field hospitals.

FPT has recently finished setting up the IT facilities at the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th, 10th, and 16th COVID-19 treatment field hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City and another field hospital at the West Dormitory Danang. The wifi system with 100 access points, large bandwidth, online meeting system - Onmeeting by FPT, PCs, printers, and security cameras were installed at each field hospital within only 1-2 days of construction.

Support to maintain safe distancing at the isolation areas

Beside FPT's strength in technology, FPT has constantly been the pioneer in supporting isolation areas with living suppliances, groceries,... in hot spots to support preventing COVID-19 from spreading, as well as maintaining safe distancing.

From the start of the 4th wave in Hanoi, FPT rushed to handle 3.000 beds at the Hoa Lac Dormitory to be an isolation center for the city. Prior to that, in March 2020, FPT's Dormitory was also used to be an isolation center for 2.000 people.

Previously, when Bac Giang province peaked with over 300 cases every day, FPT also gifted 1 billion in cash to Bac Giang Hospital and Bac Giang City People's Committee to support the pandemic prevention campaign. On the 23rd of July, one ton of rice, sponsored by FPT was also presented to people in Ninh Thuan during the crisis of pandemic.

Joining hands in the Hope Fund to support the weak in COVID-19, from 25th to 26th of July, FPT donated 16 tons of fresh vegetables to Ho Chi Minh City. On the 27th, FPT also continued to support 10 tons of Da Lat farm produce to the hotspot where people were in need of instant help.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, FPT CEO stated: 'Supporting the community, especially the front-liners needs quick and in-time actions to immediately react to the unexpected twists of the pandemic. FPT wants to join hands with the Departments to quickly end the disease, take steps in recovering production then ultimately set a foundation to a bounce-back in economy'
