December 18th, 2023 Fukuyama Transporting Co., Ltd. (Head office: Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Shigehiro Komaru) starts battery electric vehicle (BEV) deliveries in Tokyo on December 18th. Fukuyama Transporting is participating in the "Green Innovation Fund Project / Building a Smart Mobility Society" implemented by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). Since this April, we have been operating fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) deliveries.

With the introduction of BEV deliveries, we are accelerating our efforts to achieve the realization of carbon neutrality. BEV delivery has disadvantages in range and increasing energy costs. For peak shaving, we will optimize charging hours within our facilities. Combining benefits for both FCEV and BEV and optimally operating deliveries, we will work on the construction and social implementation of an energy management system that integrates with fleet management without stopping the operation of vehicles.

We will proactively continue to work on achieving carbon neutrality under our midterm management plan, "Challenge, Change 2023," with the basic policies of working toward a decarbonized society and creating a rich natural environment by reducing our environmental footprint.
