GEMADEPT CORPORATION
After more than a year searching for a qualified 3PL (third-party logistics) service provider in Vietnam, early of June 2015, Diana Unicharm JSC has chosen Gemadept Corporation as a trustworthy Logistics service provider for Diana Unicharm.
On June 4th, at Gemadept's head-office in Ho Chi Minh City, the two parties formally signed a cooperation agreement and kicked off the project of a Distribution Center in the South. Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Atsushi Iwata - Deputy chief executive officer of Diana Unicharm appreciated the capacity and professionalism of Gemadept and expressed his belief that the project would be successfully deployed meeting both parties' expectations.
Diana Unicharm Corporation, a member of the leading group Unicharm Japan, is one of the leading manufacturers in women and children hygiene products in Vietnam (specializing in producing goods from paper and pulp including sanitary napkins, baby diapers and paper napkins with famous brands such as Diana, Bobby, Caryn, Libera, etc.).
In order to meet the demand of Diana Unicharm and other customers, Gemadept has been constructing another Distribution Center (DC) with the scale of over 10,000 sqm and above 18,000 pallet capacity serving the import and export cargo flow of more than 2,000 pallets per day. The Company will invest in a new and modern warehouse management solution - the VNA Racking System (very narrow aisle) with 7-8 racking levels, VNA Reach Trucks to serve increasing customers of retail, FMCG, textile, footwear, etc.
This is the third DC in Song Than IZ being constructed and operated by Gemadept. Also in Song Than IZ, Binh Duong province, Gemadept has been operating two other DCs. The total size of the Gemadept's DC system in Binh Duong alone is 83,000 sqm and 80,000 pallets.
Along with the Port system stretching from North to South with sustainable bases and strong growth, Gemadept has established logistics infrastructure of large scales in close connection with the Company's Port services, which creates an integrated network of Port services - Shipping - Trucking - Project Cargo Transport - Air cargo Terminal and Contract Logistics. Thanks to which, Gemadept is one of few local companies being capable to provide customers with integrated and diversified logistics solutions nationwide.
With those advantages, Gemadept has been chosen as a prestigious Logistics service provider by more than 200 local and foreign customers, including many big names such as Masan, Kinh Do, Vinamilk, P&G, Unilever, Samsung, Ajinomoto, Honda, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, LG Electronics, etc ...
