"I have a really special relationship with Giant," Dumoulin said. "During the best years of my career, Giant supported the teams I was riding on. My best results were always on Giant bikes, so it goes without saying that I'm thrilled to now be an ambassador for the brand."

Dumoulin retired from pro racing in 2022 following a successful career that saw him become the first Dutch rider to win the Giro d'Italia in 2017. He also won the elite men's time trial at the UCI Road World Championships that year in Bergen, Norway, and in 2018 he finished on the podium at the both the Giro and the Tour de France. Over the course of his career, Dumoulin won nine grand tour stages. All of those career-defining victories, and the majority of his Dutch national championship titles, came aboard Giant bikes.

"We are excited to announce this partnership with Tom Dumoulin," said Giant Group Chief Branding and Marketing Officer Phoebe Liu. "He rose to the highest levels of the sport and helped push us to create innovative, high-performance products for a competitive edge. Following his retirement, Tom has reconnected with his love of cycling. We know he will be an inspiration to people around the world."

As a global ambassador for Giant, Dumoulin will attend events with Giant and participate in various cycling disciplines including road, gravel and mountain bike. He's also working as a television analyst for NOS, the Dutch public broadcasting network and is involved with a new bike park near his home in Maastricht, The Netherlands. The Tom Dumoulin Bike Park features a 3.2km road course along with mountain bike trails and a BMX track. It's designed to help aspiring riders and racers train and gain experience in a safe environment.
