HONG KONG (AP) _ Global Cord Blood Corp. (CO) on Monday reported fiscal first-quarter earnings of $18.8 million.

On a per-share basis, the Hong Kong-based company said it had profit of 15 cents.

The provider of cord blood banking services posted revenue of $39.8 million in the period.

In the final minutes of trading on Monday, the company's shares hit $3.62. A year ago, they were trading at $5.68.
