LUXEMBOURG (AP) _ Globant SA (GLOB) on Thursday reported second-quarter profit of $19.9 million.

On a per-share basis, the Luxembourg-based company said it had net income of 48 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 88 cents per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 84 cents per share.

The information technology services provider posted revenue of $305.3 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $286.8 million.

Globant shares have increased 20% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 50% in the last 12 months.
