Chief Executive John Lee and senior government officials attended a flag-raising ceremony this morning to celebrate the 26th anniversary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's establishment.

The ceremony was held at Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai at 8am.

The Police Band performed at the ceremony and a choir from St Paul's Co-educational College sang the national anthem under the lead of two singers, followed by a fly-past and a sea parade by the disciplined services.

Led by the Chief Executive, a celebration reception was then held at the Grand Hall on Level 3 of the Convention & Exhibition Centre.
