VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Great Panther Silver Ltd. (GPL) on Wednesday reported a second-quarter loss of $10.1 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had a loss of 3 cents.

The silver mining company posted revenue of $52.1 million in the period.

The company's shares closed at 60 cents. A year ago, they were trading at 90 cents.
