(Alliance News) - Greenthesis Spa - through its wholly owned Emirati-registered subsidiary Ambienthesis Middle East DMCC - on Monday announced that it has been awarded the contract for the performance of characterization activities, amounting to approximately EUR100,000, instrumental to the subsequent remediation of hydrocarbon-contaminated soil to be carried out in the Abu Dhabi industrial area.

"This award, which follows the previous qualification of expert consultant for remediation that Greenthesis had received from the Abu Dhabi Environment Agency (EAD) after the relevant accreditation phase, represents a new important step for the development of the Company's activities in the United Arab Emirates, a country whose development plans are increasingly marked by ambitious environmental and waste management policies, sectors in which the know-how possessed by the Company constitutes an important factor of competitive advantage," the company's note reads.

Giovanni Bozzetti, president of Greenthesis, stressed, "The activity has a relevant strategic value in view of COP 28, which will be hosted in the United Arab Emirates this year. Greenthesis thus positions itself as a key player in the country's ecological transition, building on its 30 years of European experience."

Greenthesis closed the session 1.6 percent in the red at EUR0.89 per share
