Grupa Azoty S.A. named Equity Market Champion

The Polish Association of Retail Investors has awarded Grupa Azoty S.A. with the Equity Market Champion title. The title is given to companies representing the highest standards in investor relations.

The title is awarded following an annual poll organised by the Polish Association of Retail Investors. This year's poll, launched in March, culminated in the official Equity Market Champion title award ceremony held during the WallStreet 18 Conference in Karpacz on June 6th-8th 2014. Grupa Azoty S.A. competed against eight other nominees, including such listed companies as PZU S.A., Tauron Polska Energia S.A. and Serinus Energy Inc.

"The Equity Market Champion title is particularly valuable as it is awarded by investors themselves in an on-line vote," says Andrzej Skolmowski, Vice-President of the Grupa Azoty Management Board. "Recently, we have seen many indications that our efforts are appreciated by investors, and this title is yet another proof of that. We are looking to strengthen this relationship further, paying close attention to transparent communication."

The Equity Market Champion title is yet another award given to Grupa Azoty S.A. in recognition of the excellent quality of its investor relations. The Company has also received such distinctions as the Golden Website Award and has been nominated to the President's Business Award in the 'global presence' category.


Additionally, at the 18th Wall Street Conference, Grupa Azoty S.A. once again received the 10/10 Programme participation certificate. The goal of the Programme is to deliver best practices in communication with retail investors, based on their needs and communication models functioning on foreign markets. By participating in the project, Grupa Azoty S.A. promises to pursue a proactive policy of communication with retail investors and respect the rights of this group of investors.


The Polish Association of Retail Investors, established in 1999, is the largest organisation gathering stock exchange investors in Poland. The Association a member of European investor organisations such as Euroshareholders and Euroinvestors, as well as the WFIC. The Association organises the 'Equity Market Champion' contest, where it promotes and recognises companies that adhere to the highest standards of investor communications, as well as individuals increasing knowledge of equity market and its transparency.
