Haier Smart Home Co., Ltd. (SHSE:600690) signed a contract to acquire 3.94% stake in Qingdao Haier Special Electric Freezing Cabinet Co., Ltd. from Qingdao Haier Air Conditioner Electric Co., Ltd. for CNY 28.8 million on October 29, 2021. Haier Smart Home shall pay the entire equity transfer price to the counterparty within 30 days from the date of completion of the industrial and commercial change registration of this equity transfer. Post acquisition Haier Smart Home will hold 100% stake in Qingdao Haier Special Electric. Qingdao Haier Special Electric reported total assets as approximately CNY 180 million, net assets as approximately CNY 810 million, revenue as CNY 2.4 billion and net profit as CNY 92.8 million for the period end on September 30, 2021. The transaction has received board approval on October 29, 2021.
Haier Smart Home Co., Ltd., formerly QINGDAO HAIER CO., LTD., is a China-based company principally engaged in the research, development, manufacture and sales of household electrical appliances. The Companyâs main products include refrigerators/freezers, washing machines, air-conditioners, water heaters, kitchen appliances products, small home appliances and U-home smart home products. The Company also provides the customers with integrated smart home solutions. The Company is also involved in channel integration service business, including logistics, as well as the distribution of home appliances and other products. The Company distributes its products in domestic market and to overseas markets.
