Halmont Properties Corporation is a Canada-based company, which invests directly and indirectly in three distinct real asset investment categories: real estate, forestry and property financing. The real estate includes low-rise office, retail, residential, and industrial properties. The forestry includes freehold timberlands and related manufacturing facilities. The property financing includes property financial and advisory services. Its directly and indirectly owned investments in the forest sector represent 30% of the Company’s assets and include a 49% equity interest in Haliburton Forest, which owns approximately 100,000 acres of predominantly hardwood freehold timberland in Haliburton County, ON, and approximately 145,000 acres of predominantly softwood freehold timberlands near Timmins, ON. Its residential and industrial properties represent approximately 18% of the Company’s assets.
