Hampton Hill Mining NL announced the commencement of the long planned diamond drill program at company's 25% owned Millennium base metal project in the Paterson Province of the East Pilbara. The project is managed by 75% owner, Encounter Resources Limited. Drilling will target downdip of the 800 metre long zone of copper anomalism defined in previous drilling which included a 26 metre section assaying 0.6% Copper from 100 metre depth that included a 10 metre interval assaying 0.9% Copper. The 400 metre diamond drill tail extending drill hole EPT 2278 will test for primary copper at the base of a thick carbonaceous shale unit within the Broadhurst Formation and below previous anomalous drill results. Drilling will be completed in July 2021 with assays expected in September 2021. Millennium is located on the Tabletop Fault in an area of no outcrop, with up to 20 metres of transported overburden. This structure is known to be metallogenically important and is closely associated with the position of the Nifty copper deposit located some 50 kilometres along strike to the north-west.
