Hayleys Fibre PLC announced unaudited earnings results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2018. For the quarter, the company reported revenue was LKR 232,784,000 against LKR 109,743,000 a year ago. Profit from operations was LKR 18,037,000 against LKR 3,905,000 a year ago. Profit before taxation was LKR 46,137,000 against LKR 26,848,000 a year ago. Profit for the period was LKR 41,665,000 against LKR 24,747,000 a year ago. Earnings per share were LKR 5.21 against LKR 3.09 a year ago. Net cash flows from operating activities were LKR 49,061,000 against net cash flows from operating activities of LKR 19,533,000 a year ago. Acquisition of property, plant & equipment was LKR 26,373,000 against LKR 2,244,000 a year ago.
Hayleys Fibre PLC is a Sri Lanka-based company, which is primarily involved in the manufacture and export of coir fibre products. The Company is a total solutions provider for a range of applications based on coconut fibre and coir fibre in Sri Lanka. Its coconut fibre-related products and services include Bio-Engineering, Horticulture & Bedding, Coir Twine & Yarn, Growing Media and a variety of industrial applications. It also produces polyurethane mattresses and other related products for local markets. The Companyâs product portfolio includes coir fibre pith, husk chips, chopped fibre, grow blocks, grow bales, grow bags, coir twine, coir twisted fibre, fibre in raw form, erosion control solutions, stitched blankets, geo textiles, geo logs & pillows, polyurethane mattresses, pillows and cushions.
