Hellenic Telecommunications Organization S.A. announced that the company's Board of Directors elected Messers. Dimitrios Georgoutsos and Vasilis Vassalos, as non-executive members of the Board of Directors, in replacement of the resigned non-executive member Ms. Vasiliki Kouforizou and Mr. Panagiotis Skevofylax, accordingly, for the rest of their tenure, namely until the date of the Ordinary General Shareholders' Meeting of year 2021. Mr. Dimitris Georgoutsos is Professor of Finance at the Athens University of Economics and Business. He has taught at the Trinity College of the University of Cambridge and the University of Essex, and has worked as an economist in the Bank of Greece. He has been a consultant in portfolio investment companies and employed in the Ministry of Finance as a member of a working group on taxation of financial instruments and stability of the banking sector. Additionally, he has been an elected Council member at the Athens University of Economics and Business. For the past 15 years he has been advising, consulting and collaborating with the public sector and industry, and mentoring and investing in startups. Mr. Vasilis Vassalos is Professor of Informatics at the Athens University of Economics and Business. He is the author of over 70 research publications and two US patents and the Principal Investigator for many projects in the areas of Big Data Management, Medical ICT, Machine Learning, and Internet Technology. Professor Vassalos' experience includes founding the software company Enosys Software (acquired by BEA Systems) and being the Chief Data Scientist for two international technology companies.
