Hill International has confirmed the completion of the construction works. Upon assessing the project's documentation and the new structure, the company issued an affirmation that the construction partnership Nacionala Buvkompaniju Apvieniba (National Builders Association, NBA) has completed the construction of the Latvian National Library in accordance with the contract. Representatives of the Culture Ministry also said that work is ongoing to put the new library building in operation.

According to ministry representatives, 13 of the 17 findings necessary to officially launch the new library building have been received already. Some works are still continuing, for example, building of separate infrastructure objects that have to be completed by May 2014. All the documents required by the state fire and rescue service have been submitted already and the final complex test of the building's systems will be carried out in the middle of next week.

The Riga construction authority will issue the final findings before the dedication of the new library building scheduled for January 18.
