THE WOODLANDS, Texas (AP) _ The Howard Hughes Corp. (HHC) on Wednesday reported second-quarter net income of $4.8 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the The Woodlands, Texas-based company said it had profit of 9 cents.

The land developer posted revenue of $212.5 million in the period.

Howard Hughes shares have risen 10% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $86.85, an increase of 55% in the last 12 months.
