HSBC Life Assurance (Malta) Ltd. supporting a sustainability agenda

HSBC Insurance globally announced the publication of its latest Principles for Sustainable Insurance disclosure, which highlights the progress made during the last year, in embedding sustainability principles across the organisation's operations.

HSBC Insurance became a signatory to the Principles for Sustainable Insurance (PSI) in April 2013 and has since collaborated on several Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives across the industry and within the different markets.

HSBC Life Assurance (Malta) Ltd has continued to emphasise the importance of sustainability in its long-term business strategy.

Some of the key contributions in 2022 were:

• Enhancing financial capability by introducing Plain Language product literature and marketing QR codes, which simplifies and streamlines customers' access to insurance products and information about them.
• Reducing environmental impact through the introduction of digital forms and automation initiatives, significantly minimising the use of paper.
• As part of HSBC Malta, upgrading its office premises to become more energy efficient and enhancing the working environment for its employees.
• Promoting societal wellbeing through collaboration with the GEMMA Mental Health Financial Capability Programme.
