HTC REPORTS SECOND QUARTER 2021 RESULTS

Taipei, Taiwan - July 29, 2021 - HTC Corporation (TWSE: 2498), a global leader in innovation and design, today announced consolidated results for its fiscal 2021 second quarter ended June 30, 2021.

2Q21 Financial Highlights：

• Quarterly revenue of NT$1.35 billion with a gross margin of 29.9%, up 0.9% sequentially.
• Quarterly operating loss of NT$1.05 billion with an operating margin of -77.8%.
• Quarterly net loss attributable to owners of the parent was NT$0.55 billion, or an EPS of -NT$0.68.

2Q21 Business Update：

• VIVECON 2021: a global HTC VIVE technology conference held in May, with thousands of participants from all over the world joining in VR and online to watch the launch of new VIVE products and services, and a series of panel discussions with strategic partners discussing VR implementation in key enterprise areas.
• New VIVE products and services launched in VIVECON 2021：
• • VIVE Focus 3, an advanced all-in-one VR headset designed for enterprise, boasting best- in-class graphics, innovative audio and ergonomic comfort.
  • VIVE Pro 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning VIVE Pro, is the most premium PC VR headset on the market aimed at prosumers and professionals.
  • VIVE Business, a suite of enterprise-focused platform, apps and services dedicated to enabling organizations to more easily implement VR into their business processes, including VIVE Business AppStore, VIVE Business Device Management System, VIVE Business Streaming, VIVE Business Training.
• VIVEPORT partners with Bandai Namco Pictures to bring its popular anime and other animated content to a new dimension in virtual reality.
• HTC announced Taiwan's first 5G standalone private network open to the public. Installed in
  Kaohsiung City's 'KOSMOSPOT x VIVELAND' development zone, this first field of 5G private network is open to Taiwan consumers and enterprises.
