Pursuant to article 227 of the restated text of the Securities Market Law approved by the Royal Legislative Decree 4/2015, of 23 October (texto refundido de la Ley del Mercado de Valores aprobado por el Real Decreto Legislativo 4/2015, de 23 de octubre) and related provisions, we hereby inform you that the Board of Directors of Iberdrola, S.A. has resolved, following the proposal of the Appointments Committee, to appoint Ms Sara de la Rica Goiricelaya as new chairperson of the Sustainable Development Committee, replacing Ms Samantha Barber, in light of the upcoming reclassification of the latter as other external director, effective on 1 August 2020, as a result of her discharge of the position of independent director of Iberdrola, S.A. for a continuous period of 12 years.
