Further to the announcements made on 27 June 2019, 12 July 2021 and 27 October 2021 respectively in respect of a Writ of Summons together with the Statement of Claim dated 20 June 2019 (the "Suit") filed by Labuan Shipyard & Engineering Sdn. Bhd. ("LSE" or the "Plaintiff") against the Group's wholly owned subsidiary, Icon Ship Management Sdn. Bhd. ("ISM" or the "Defendant"), Icon Offshore Berhad ("ICON" or the "Company") wishes to announce further developments in respect of the Suit.
The court-assisted mediation was first held on 26 January 2022 before the Registrar and the Registrar had further instructed the parties to convene another mediation on 08 April 2022.
A case management was held on 08 March 2022 whereby the Judge has agreed to vacate the present trial dates of 11-14 April 2022 given the proximity of those dates to the new mediation date.
New trial dates have been fixed on 13-14 October 2022 and the next case management is on 29 September 2022.
The Company will make further announcements on material developments in the Suit as and when necessary from time to time.
