Ignite's representation on the executive committee of the Association of Professional Staffing Companies Australia (APSCo Australia) will continue after our very own ACT General Manager Laila Billberg was appointed as a director earlier this month.

When asked about her appointment, Laila said 'I have been engaged with APSCo throughout my 14 years in the industry and have come to understand the importance of having an association representing the recruitment sector'.

APSCo is the peak association for the Australian professional staffing and talent management sector, providing recruitment agencies with a broad range of programs and resources to help them be successful in what is a very competitive industry. Furthermore, it provides a distinctive voice for all its members in Australia's broader economy.

Ignite is a founding member of APSCo, and has maintained a strong connection with them for many years. We are delighted that this relationship will continue, and are proud to represent the broader recruitment community via Laila's position on the APSCo executive committee. According to Laila, 'Ignite is well placed to be a board representative due to our diversified offering, and this year the association has also managed to achieve a gender balance across its leadership team'.

We would like to congratulate Laila on her appointment, and are very excited to see what APSCo Australia achieves moving forward to ignite the potential of the broader recruitment industry.
