IMC has completed corn harvesting

In early December, the harvesting of corn was completed at IMC. Corn, main crop of the company, was harvested from 69.2 thousand hectares, corn harvest amounted to 645.5 thousand tonnes, with an average yield of 9.33 t/ha, which is 77% higher than the average corn yield in Ukraine (according to official data, as of November 30, 2020, the average corn yield in the country was 5.26 t/ha).

"None of the seasons in agriculture is ever similar in weather terms to the previous one. 2020 is no exception, its "uniqueness" was felt by everyone without exception in the economy. And if for other industries the coronavirus and the quarantine measures caused by it were the determining factors, then for farmers the pandemic concurred with the lack of soil moisture after a snowless winter, cold spring and dry summer. However, the correct selection of hybrid seed composition, balanced nutrition system, quality protection system, as well as the use of all available modern technologies allowed to achieve results in fact on par with the best seasons, once again confirming the strong belief of IMC production team that high-quality,high-intensity technology reveals its highest potential in unfavorable years", - said IMC's Chief Operating Officer Oleksandr Verzhykhovskyi.
