India Oil Corporation Ltd. has partnered with Laqshya Media Group, an India-based media company, to provide multimedia for its booth at the annual India Energy Week event, according to a press release.

Featuring interactive, 3D, hologram and augmented reality elements, the display leaned heavily into digital signage elements to illustrate sustainable goals, including energy targets and endangered species protection efforts, along with elements to illustrate alternative power sources such as a mat that generated power from the footsteps of exhibit visitors.

IOC provides nearly half of the nation's energy needs and has committed to net zero emissions by 2046. Sustainability projects highlighted during the event included:

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modhi helped launch a twin cooktop version of the Surya Nutan solar cooking system.
  • Chef Ranveer Brar used the solar cook top to prepare the dish millet khichdi, which received positive comments from Minister Hardeep Singh Puri.
  • Unbottled, a brand of sustainable clothing made from recycled polyester, was developed by IOC researchers and launched with the help of Prime Minister Modhi.

"The space that was given to us, truly speaking, was not very advantageous because in front of us was a huge India experience zone, but we gave them (Laqshya Media Group) a challenge by saying, let's use something so different, so special, so unique, that everybody will leave every other stall and come to Indian Oil pavilion and that's what Laqshya did," Uttiya Bhattacharyya, executive director and state head at IOC, said in the release. "This group has done an outstanding job."

"We are proud to have executed the Indian Oil pavilion at India Energy Week to our client's satisfaction with our innovation wing Inventech and execution partner, Laqshya Live Experience (LLE)," Rajesh Mendiratta, SVP at Laqshya Media Group, said in the release. "We are grateful to Indian Oil for entrusting us with this important project and allowing us to showcase our capabilities. We always aim to provide innovative solutions to help our clients achieve their goals and drive progress in their respective sectors. We are honored to have received such positive feedback from the honorable Union Minister, Shri Hardeep S. Puri Ji, management of Indian Oil and all the visitors who experienced our work at the stall. We look forward to continued success in our collaboration."
