• Cumulative net income and EBITDA through September 2023 increased 15% and 9%, respectively, compared to the same period of 2022.
  • Executed investments (CAPEX) in the third quarter of 2023 amounted to COP 1.1 trillion.
  • Highlights include new projects awarded in Brazil and Peru during this quarter, totaling more than 1,356 kilometers of new lines.

Cumulative investments and figures throughout 2023 show a positive trend, with net income reaching COP 2 trillion, 15% higher than in the first nine months of 2022, and EBITDA closing at COP 7 trillion, 9% higher than in the equivalent period of 2022. Revenues so far this year total COP 11 trillion, with double-digit growth compared to the same period in 2022. Also, the company's executed investments (CAPEX) during the year amounted to COP 3.5 trillion, of which, in the third quarter, COP 1.1 trillion was executed.

ISA maintains an optimal leverage structure. At the end of the third quarter of 2023, consolidated debt stood at COP 31 trillion, a decrease of 9% compared to the end of 2022. On the other hand, assets decreased by 8% to COP 72.8 trillion. Both reductions are mainly due to the effect of the revaluation of the Colombian peso against the currencies of the region and 16% against the U.S. dollar.

The awarding of three construction lots in Brazil and three in Peru, for a total of

1,356 km of new lines are milestones that add up to a benchmark investment of more than COP 3.5 trillion to guarantee growth with sustainable value.

Some important milestones of the third quarter of 2023:

  • ISA, through ISA CTEEP, was awarded in August three extensions and designated as the winner of Lot 1 of the ANEEL bidding held in June 2023. This designation grants the company a project with a reference CAPEX estimated by the grantor at BRL 3,302 million (about COP 2.9 trillion), in addition to the two lots won by the company in June, with 1,116 kilometers of new lines. With this, ISA consolidates its presence in Brazil by offering innovative solutions to lead the energy transition in Latin America.
  • In Peru, Consorcio Transmantaro was awarded in September the San José-Yarabamba, Piura Nueva-Colán and Belaúnde Terry-Tarapoto Norte projects, which have 240 km of new lines, with a reference CAPEX estimated by the grantor at USD 153 million, which will connect the north of the country with renewable energy sources.
  • Also in Peru, Transmantaro put into operation the COYA project, with more than 500 km of lines, connecting 12 million inhabitants of the regions of Lima, Junín, and Huancavelica, with renewable energy generation plants in the south of the country, with an investment of more than USD 290 million.
  • In energy transition projects in Colombia, ISA put into operation the connection of the Nabusimake solar power plant to the Fundación substation, and ISA CTEEP put into operation 13 reinforcements to its grid and inaugurated the first digital 4.0 substation in Jaguariúna.

As a result of its strategy of Generating Sustainable Value, ISA was recognized with the BIBO Awards from the newspaper El Espectador, in first place in the Bioeconomy category for the Conexión Desarrollo program. It also received recognition from ANDI and Dinero as one of the 15 most innovative companies in Colombia for its technological ventures in alliance with Rockstart Latam.

All these projects demonstrate the company's progress towards the objectives set out in the ISA 2030 strategy. "The fulfillment of most of the strategic objectives is very positive compared not only to the 2030 goal, but also to the defined rolling targets. We maintain the financial muscle to continue expanding ISA's footprint in the region, ensuring sustainable value creation, and advancing our commitment to an inclusive energy transition," said Juan Emilio Posada, ISA CEO.
