Interserve Group Limited, the international support services, construction and equipment group has secured a place on both lots of the new YORbuild Major Works Framework.

Lot 1 covers projects valued between £10m and £30m and Lot 2 covers projects worth more than £30m, with an estimated value of £1.5bn over the next four years.

The new framework follows the success of the current YORbuild2 framework in delivering major public sector projects and covers the Yorkshire and Humber region, North East England, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

It can be used as a procurement route by any public sector organisation in these areas and will provide access to a mix of new build and refurbishment works. The YORbuild Major Works framework encompasses added value themes to ensure that framework projects deliver social, economic and environmental benefits.

Don Stewart, YORbuild Framework Director, said: "We are excited to be extending our ten-year relationship with YORbuild in a genuine partnership. We are looking forward in continuing to deliver exemplar projects that provide framework users with cost and programme savings, but also leave a lasting legacy locally through the creation of new jobs, apprentices and training opportunities."

Interserve has delivered many successful projects through the YORbuild framework including Kirkgate Market in Leeds, Dixons McMillan Academy in Bradford and the new Hull York Medical School for the University of York.

In December last year Interserve were also appointed to the £2bn YORCivils Major Works Framework.
