EuroSibEnergo Joins Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership

Rio-de-Janeiro, June 3, 2015 - EuroSibEnergo, Russia's largest independent electricity producer, has joined the Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership (GSEP). The company was officially inducted as a member of the GSEP at the annual summit in Rio-de-Janeiro, Brazil.

Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership, established in 1992, is an international non-profit organization, which brings together the world's leading electric power companies that supply almost one third of the world's electricity. Members of GSEP include: American Electric Power (USA), Comisión Federal de Electricidad (Mexico), Électricité de France (France), Eletrobras (Brazil), Enel (Italy), EuroSibEnergo (Russia), Hydro-Québec (Canada), Iberdrola (Spain), Kansai Electric Power Company (Japan), RusHydro (Russia), RWE (Germany), State Grid Corporation of China (the People's Republic of China), and TEPCO (Japan). The GSEP core mission is to play an active role in addressing global electricity issues and to promote the development of sustainable solutions worldwide.

EuroSibEnergo, as well as being Russia's largest independent electricity producer, is one of the largest hydro-electric power companies in the world. EuroSibEnergo operates 18 power plants with a total installed capacity of 19.5GW, including 15GW from some of Russia's largest hydropower plants in Siberia. The company supplies around 9% of Russia's total electricity. EuroSibEnergo is currently building one of the largest solar farms in Russia and is also considering constructing several new hydro-power plants.

EuroSibEnergo Chief Executive Officer, Vyacheslav Solomin, will join the Board of Directors of GSEP. The company will nominate its representatives to the management committee of GSEP.
