iSOFT appoints Beverley Scott to lead patient safetyBanbury – 12 October 2011 – iSOFT, a CSC Company, today announced that Beverley Scott has been appointed group clinical safety officer overseeing the co-ordination of clinical risk incident management and patient safety across all iSOFT territories.

Scott, who will report to Michael Dahlweid, iSOFT’s chief medical officer, joins iSOFT from the
Department of Health Informatics Directorate where she was senior clinical safety specialist.
“Beverley’s expert knowledge and use of national and international patient safety risk management standards for health software will be invaluable to iSOFT as we continue to expand our portfolio of healthcare solutions,” said Dahlweid, “Beverley will be responsible for developing our clinical safety strategy ensuring that patient safety is institutionalised within iSOFT's global organisation.
”The healthcare legislative landscape is evolving and we need to ensure that we are aligned to it and have a clear strategy in place to meet the challenges of this changing environment.”
Scott has held a number of clinical safety roles at a senior level within the NHS and has had lead responsibility for clinical and patient safety. Beverley is a registered and practicing nurse and experienced systems safety engineering practitioner.
With over 13 years clinical experience and eight years experience in the field of patient safety, NHS information standards and health technology, Scott brings a wealth of experience to this new role.
