MONETT, Mo. (AP) _ Jack Henry & Associates Inc. (JKHY) on Monday reported fiscal third-quarter profit of $71.4 million.

The Monett, Missouri-based company said it had profit of 95 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 86 cents per share.

The payment processsing company posted revenue of $433.8 million in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $436.6 million.

Jack Henry expects full-year earnings to be $3.98 to $4.02 per share, with revenue in the range of $1.75 billion to $1.76 billion.

Jack Henry shares have increased 1% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $163.93, an increase of slightly more than 3% in the last 12 months.
