Keskisuomalainen Group is planning to restructure the Group's newspaper printing operations in Finland. The Group's subsidiary, Hämeen Lehtipaino, is starting employer-employee negotiations due to the restructuring plans. Possible reductions of working hours and redundancies will affect 22 people at most. The Group is planning to decrease the number of printing units and to increase operational efficiency. The Group operates six printing units in three companies: Lehtisepät, Hämeen Lehtipaino, and Kaakon Viestintä. If the plan is implemented, Hämeen Lehtipaino will cease its newspaper printing operations in Hämeenlinna. With the restructuring, the Group is looking to achieve efficiency benefits of about EUR 1million, which are expected to materialise in full in 2021.
