Khaleeji Commercial Bank BSC : KHCB announces the first winner of the “Al Waffer Club” prizes for the year 2022

Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain: Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB), one of the leading Islamic banks in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has recently announced that Khadija Atiyah Ali won the first 2022 "Al Waffer Club" Prize for the month of January. The prize was drawn at the Bank's headquarters under the supervision of representatives from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism, an external auditor, the internal auditor, and the relevant departments of the Bank.

"Al Waffer Club" was launched two years ago to allocate special prizes and benefits to clients who deposit BD 5,000 and more into their account, in addition to entering into exclusive raffles with monthly cash prizes worth BD 5,000. The launch of this Club comes as a gesture of appreciation and gratitude to the Bank's clients for their trust and loyalty to the Bank, as they invest their money with the "Al Waffer" account.

On this occasion, Mr. Abdulnasser Al Rayes, Head of Retail Banking at KHCB, said "Over the past years, "Al Waffer" account has laid the foundation for the Bank's development and growth, as it continues to provide an exceptional experience that enables our clients to invest and save their money, as well as get a chance to win valuable prizes that would make a significant change in their lives. We were therefore encouraged to launch the "Al Waffer Club", reflecting our endeavours and efforts to meet the aspirations of our valued clients."

Mr. Al Rayes added "Last year, "Al Waffer" account witnessed remarkable success, coinciding with a noticeable increase in the number of members, thanks to the Club's special privileges and exclusive prize raffles. Therefore, for this year's edition, we have allocated a monthly prize of BD 5,000 for club members only. Additionally, the Club grants members the chance to enter into the Grand Prize Raffles, the first of which will be the March prize of BD 250,000 and then BD 100,000 for the months of April, May, June, September, October, and November, while the December prize will be worth BD 250,000."

"Al Waffer" is an investment account that is compliant with the Provisions and Principles of Islamic Shari'a, in which funds are invested based on the principles of "Absolute Mudarabah". An account can be opened with a minimum of BD 500, which grants clients the opportunity to win one of many valuable prizes, where entry points are calculated for every BD 25 deposited in the account. Clients can get double points towards Grand Prize Raffles, provided that the invested amount is increased and no withdrawals are made from the account within 90 days from the raffle date.
