Koenig & Bauer AG reported group earnings results for the year ended March 31, 2012. The group reported revenue of EUR 263.5 million, operating profit of EUR 2 million, earnings before tax of EUR 0.2 million, net loss of EUR 0.8 million against revenue of EUR 253.3 million, operating loss of EUR 1.8 million, loss before tax of EUR 3.9 million, net loss of EUR 5.8 million a year ago. LPS was EUR 0.05 against EUR 0.35 a year ago. Cash outflow from operating activities was EUR 23.1 million against cash inflow from operating activities of EUR 40.1 million a year ago. Investment in intangible assets, property, plant and equipment was EUR 4.5 million against EUR 6.2 million a year ago. While group sales and earnings at the end of the first quarter fell well short of expectations, management stands by its targets for 2012. If business conditions remain stable, the group is confident of achieving sales of more than EUR 1.2 billion and higher group pre-tax earnings than the prior-year EUR 3.3 million.
