With effect as of today, Pavel ?ejka (47), so far Executive Director for Strategy and Finance, becomes a new member of Komer?ní banka's Board of Directors. He will be in charge of Strategy and Finance, Operations, Information Technology, Project Organisation and Management, Support Services, and Investment Banking Operations. On the Board of Directors he has replaced Patrice Taillandier-Thomas who will continue to work in the Société Générale Group.

Pavel ?ejka has an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and is a graduate of the Czech Technical University with a degree in Management and Finance. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK. Pavel started his professional career in 1994 with Arthur Andersen, where he specialised primarily in audit and advisory for financial institutions in the Central European region. He joined ?SOB in 2000 as Executive Director for Financial Management. He joined Komer?ní banka in July 2003 as deputy CFO and was appointed Executive Director for Strategy and Finance in January 2006. He is the chairman of the Supervisory Board of Penzijní fond Komer?ní banky and a member of the Supervisory Board of Modrá pyramida stavební spo?itelna, Komer?ní poji??ovna and ESSOX.

With effect as of today, Karel Va?ák (51) becomes a new member of Komer?ní banka's Board of Directors. He will be in charge of Top Corporations and Investment Banking. Karel replaces Jan Juchelka on the Board of Directors.

Karel Va?ák joined the Société Générale Group in 1982 following graduation from the Lyon Business School (EM Lyon). Until 1990 he worked in SG's distribution network in France, and later, from 1990 to 2001, in its international distribution network in the London and subsequently New York affiliates, where he was responsible for International Desk, and subsequently for International HR management. From 2001 to 2006 he held the position of Executive Director for Human Resources at Komer?ní banka. Thereupon he went back to Société Générale in France, where he was responsible for Northern Lorraine. At the helm of Top Corporations and Investment Banking, he will be responsible for promoting Komer?ní banka's relationships with corporate clients in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Jan Juchelka (40) is leaving for the Société Générale Group's headquarters in Paris, where he will serve, starting in August this year, as Managing Director in Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking (SGCIB) with responsibility for corporate clients in the Central and Eastern European region. 

Having graduated from Silesian University in Karviná, Jan Juchelka worked in the private sector. In 1995 he joined the National Property Fund of the Czech Republic, and served as its Executive Chairman between 2002 and 2005. He was a member of Komer?ní banka's Supervisory Board from 1999 to 2006. In February 2006, he joined Komer?ní banka as head of the TCA Business Division in Prague. Since April 2006, he has served as the Board of Directors' member responsible for managing Top Corporations and Investment Banking. In this position he has significantly contributed to the development of Komer?ní banka's relationships with its corporate clients.

With effect as of today, Libor Löfler (46) becomes Executive Director for Strategy and Finance at Komer?ní banka, replacing Pavel ?ejka in this position.

Libor Löfler has spent his entire professional career in the banking industry. Among others, he worked at the Czechoslovak State Bank and at Investi?ní a po?tovní banka. In 1994 he joined Konsolida?ní banka as CFO, and served as its CEO in 1998 and 1999. Since 1999, he has been with Komer?ní banka, between 2002 and 2006 as head of financial management (ALM, taxes, group financial management). Between 2006 and 2010, Libor held the position of Modrá pyramida stavební spo?itelna Vice-Chairman. Afterwards, since 2010, he has been Deputy Executive Director for Strategy and Finance at Komer?ní banka. Libor is a member of Faktoring KB's Supervisory Board.
