Kraton Corp. has made a change to its C-level leadership. The company appointed Marcello Boldrini to the position of CEO, Kraton Corp.

Boldrini had been serving as the company's co-CEO and CEO of Kraton Pine Chemical since March 2022. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president and chemical segment president since April 2017 and was also appointed chief sustainability officer in April 2021. Boldrini was appointed to the position of co-CEO after DL Chemical Co.

Ltd., a subsidiary of South Korea-based DL Holdings Co. Ltd., closed its acquisition of Kraton Corp. on March 15, 2022.

The $2.5 billion deal, which was first announced in September 2021, took Kraton Corp. private and made the company a wholly owned subsidiary of DL Chemical.  At the time, Holger Jung was also appointed co-CEO, serving alongside Boldrini, and was named CEO of Kraton Polymer. Jung joined the company in 2011 and most recently served as senior vice president and the polymers segment president prior to his appointment as co-CEO.

The Houston Business Journal has reached out to Kraton for comment on Jung's current status with the company. Boldrini and Jung were appointed after the company's previous CEO, Kevin Fogarty, retired from Kraton Corp. following the closing of the sale, according to his biography on the website of White Plains, New York-based, Opal Fuels Inc. He also now serves as the chairman of both Charlotte, North Carolina-based Glatfelter Corp.

and Malvern, Pennsylvania-based Ecovyst Inc., according to Bloomberg and the companies' filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
