The farms of KSG Agro agricultural holding have started fertilizing winter crops on an area of 6,300 hectares. This was reported by the press service of the agricultural holding.

The farms of KSG Agro have started fertilizing winter crops on an area of 6,300 hectares. In terms of crops, the fertilization process is carried out on the following sown areas:

- Winter rape - 2,100 hectares,

- Wheat - 3,100 hectares,

- Barley - 1 100 hectares.

"This year we have optimized our winter crops acreage. As a result, compared to the previous period, the area under rapeseed increased 2.6 times: from 800 hectares to 2,100 hectares, while the area under wheat decreased," says Dmytro Yemelchenko, Head of Crop Production Division at KSG Agro.

According to him, crops are monitored alongside the fertilization process. All winter crops are in excellent condition, and the 100th tillering of wheat and barley has taken place.

UAN (urea-ammonium nitrate), ammonium sulfate and urea are used in the fertilization process. This set of fertilizers is based on both crop differentiation and economic calculations. Today, the most inexpensive nitrogen can be obtained in urea.
