Notice Concerning Leopalace21's response to the Japanese Government's
declaration of a state of emergency triggered by COVID-19 infection
Leopalace21 Corporation (Headquarters: Nakano, Tokyo; President and CEO: Bunya Miyao; the "Company") announces the following measures in response to the Japanese Government's declaration of a state of emergency* and its request to reduce the person to person contact chance by at least 70 per cent in order to control the COVID-19 infection. These are to inhibit the further infection spreading and to protect the customers, related parties and our employees from the possible infection. The measures remain valid until the Government removes the declaration of a state of emergency.
The Company will further respond to the supplemental requests issued by the local governments which are outside of the current controlled prefectures and which may declare a state of emergency on their own judgments.
*Japanese Government declared a state of emergency on April 9 which covers Tokyo metropolitan area including Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, and Kanagawa, along with Osaka, Hyogo and Fukuoka, seven prefectures in total. People in the controlled prefectures are in general requested to stay at home and try to avoid non-essential outing for social distancing reasons.

Way of work
The company will coordinate to reduce the number of attending employees at each office by 70 per cent or more in comparison to the usual time. All possible works should be done by work from home. - Building investigation and repair works for construction defects
Stop generally all the investigation and repair works for the apartment buildings which are located in the controlled prefectures. - Visit to apartment owners and corporate customers
Cease to visit in general all the apartment owners and corporate customers who are
located in the controlled prefectures.
Leopalace21 will continue to consider as priority the health and safety of the customers and employees. Responding to the Japanese central and local governments' policies and working closely with the other related authorities, we will try out best to deter COVID-19 infection both inside and outside the Company. We would appreciate the customers' and related parties' understanding and cooperation.
