Lithium Australia NL : - Request for voluntary suspension

Lithium Australia NL (ASX: LIT) (Company) requests a voluntary suspension of the securities of the Company, effective immediately.

The Company provides the following information in relation to this request in accordance with ASX Listing Rule 17.2: The voluntary suspension is requested pending the release of an announcement by the Company concerning a proposed agreement in regards to a recycling supply agreement with a major company.

The Company requests that the voluntary suspension remain in place until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Wednesday 26 August 2020 or when the anticipated announcement is released to the market.

The Company is not aware of any reason why the voluntary suspension should not be granted or of any further information necessary to inform the market about the trading halt.

Company Profile

Lithium Australia Limited is an Australia-based company, which develops processing technology to produce lithium ferro phosphate, and also develops lithium extraction technology. The Company's Lithium Chemicals segment consists of research and development of a suite of extraction and refining technologies for the recovery of lithium chemicals from various materials, including spodumene, lithium micas and end of life lithium-ion batteries. Its Battery Materials segment provides research and development of advanced, battery materials, including lithium ferro phosphate and lithium manganese ferro phosphate. Its Battery Recycling segment offers research and development of processing technology for mixed-battery recycling, as well as the sale of recovered energy metals. The Company shreds and recycles all types of end-of-life batteries at its Melbourne facilities. Its process involves recovery of energy metals as a mixed metal dust, which is then exported for further refining.
