Lithium Energy Ltd (ASX:LEL) chairman William Johnson talks Proactive through the key achievements in its June quarter. Among the highlights from the Solaroz Lithium Project in Argentina were assays from drill hole SOZDD006, which revealed a lithium concentration of 594mg/l. A significant initial maiden JORC inferred mineral resource estimate (MRE) of 3.3 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) was also defined.

Meanwhile, at the company’s graphite projects in Australia total inventory doubled to 2.6 million tonnes of contained graphite following a maiden JORC inferred MRE of 13.5 million tonnes at 9.5% total graphitic carbon (TGC) for 1.3 million tonnes of contained graphite at the Corella tenement.

The company recently bolstered its in-country presence with the appointment of experienced lithium operations executive Raúl Di Lena as general manager of Solaroz S.A, the company's 90%-owned subsidiary in Argentina.

Johnson said: “We are delighted to have attracted someone of Raúl’s calibre and experience to lead the company’s lithium development activities in Argentina.”

“Lithium Energy is focused on the development of our major lithium asset at Solaroz, where we recently confirmed a significant JORC inferred mineral resource of 3.3 million tonnes of LCE.

“Raúl’s operational experience with major industry players brings a key skill set to the company to progress Solaroz into development.”
