- Provision of various kinds of family-friendly programs for the harmonious balance between family and office life


On Dec 16, LX International announced the acquisition of a 'family-friendly company' certificate presented by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.

The family-friendly company certificate was developed in 2008 by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family with the aim of creating a family-friendly office culture. Relevant evaluations are carried out and certification is given by the same ministry to the companies and public institutions that have an exemplary family-friendly system for supporting childbirth and the rearing of children, flexible working hours, and creating a family-friendly office culture in order to achieve a balanced life between work and home.

Since LX International actively provides many different kinds of family-friendly programs to ensure a balanced life between home and the office of its employees, the company received outstanding results in the evaluation.

Followed by changes in the social environment that values the balance between an office and home along with work and life, LX International has been continuously making an effort to create a family-friendly office culture.

Specifically, the 'self-managing flexible working hour system' that has been in operation since 2018 is highly appreciated for its actual effectiveness. To be brief, this system allows workers to freely set their working hours while observing the monthly statutory working hours.

Besides, LX International has introduced the 'remote working' system in which the employees may autonomously choose to work from home depending on their individual job characteristics and lifestyle regardless of the pandemic situation. Once the employees of the company select the desired dates for working from home and enter it into the system, the application process is completed by self-approval and not by their boss.

For the autonomous decision and management of working hours and methods by the employees, LX International has been establishing and implementing the relevant system from the early phase of introducing the remote work. Also, the company has been making its best efforts in respect of improving the organizational culture for the quick and firm settlement of such a system inits early stages.

Other than that, LX International supports the childcare of its employees by running a workplace nursery, while at the same time providing a system that supports employees for a leave of absence or a family care holiday when they need to take care of their family due to unexpected diseases or accidents. Also, the company provides gifts to the families of all employees including the overseas workers in the Family Month of every year. Additional family-friendly welfare programs of LX International include the operation of a psychology counseling office, the reduction of working hours during pregnancy, the provision of childbirth gifts and gifts for employees' children when they enter an elementary, middle, and high school.
