Malee Group Public Company Limited reported consolidated and parent earnings results for the quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2018. For the quarter, on consolidated basis, the company reported sales were THB 1,205 million against THB 1,500 million a year ago. Loss attributable to equity holders of the parent was THB 124 million against profit of THB 78 million a year ago. Loss per share was THB 0.45 compared to earnings per share of THB 0.28 for the same period a year ago.

For the nine months, on consolidated basis, the company reported sales were THB 3,892 million against THB 4,384 million a year ago. Loss attributable to equity holders of the parent was THB 129 million against profit of THB 257 million a year ago. Loss per share was THB 0.47 compared to earnings per share of THB 0.92 for the same period a year ago.

For the quarter, on parent basis the company reported net loss was THB 76.8 million against profit of THB 102.8 million a year ago. Loss per share was THB 0.28 compared to earnings per share of THB 0.37 for the same period a year ago.

For the nine months, on parent basis the company reported net loss was THB 52.28 million against profit of THB 297.59 million a year ago. Loss per share was THB 0.19 compared to earnings per share of THB 1.06 for the same period a year ago.

The company expects that its operating results will remain under pressure for the rest of the year. Although the company expects to continue its loss for the fourth quarter of 2018 operating results,
the loss magnitude should be less than the third quarter of 2018 results.

The Company anticipates its performance to recover in 2019 with sales growth target of 5-10%, mainly supported by continuation of the current product roll-out, product portfolio renovations to match with sales situations, new product development, new business model for sale and distribution, and securing new customers. In addition, business direction for next year is aiming at growing production volume, intensified cost reduction measures, and cash flow management.
