RESTON, Va. (AP) _ Mandiant, Inc. (MNDT) on Tuesday reported a loss of $92 million in its first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Reston, Virginia-based company said it had a loss of 42 cents. Losses, adjusted for stock option expense and amortization costs, came to 15 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 14 cents per share.

The computer security software company posted revenue of $130.1 million in the period, which topped Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $129.5 million.
