Asset Acquisitions and Disposals::Update on the Proposed Acquisition of Mapletree Logistics Hub - Tanjung Pelepas

UPDATE ON THE PROPOSED ACQUISITION OF

MAPLETREE LOGISTICS HUB - TANJUNG PELEPAS

All capitalised terms used and not defined herein shall have the same meanings ascribed to them in the circular to unitholders dated 2 November 2020 in relation to among other things, the proposed acquisitions of (a) the remaining 50.0% interest in 15 properties and a 100.0% interest in seven properties in PRC through the acquisition of property holding companies, (b) the Malaysia Property and (c) a 100.0% interest in one property in Vietnam through the acquisition of a property holding company, as interested person transactions (the "Acquisitions" and the circular, the "Circular").

Further to the Circular and its announcement dated 19 October 2020 in relation to the Acquisitions, Mapletree Logistics Trust Management Ltd., as manager of Mapletree Logistics Trust ("MLT", and the manager of MLT, the "Manager") wishes to provide an update concerning the proposed acquisition of Mapletree Logistics Hub - Tanjung Pelepas which is located at Plot D40 & 44, Jalan DBP/8, Zone B, Port Tanjung Pelepas, 81560 Gelang Patah, Johor Darul Takzim, Malaysia (the "Malaysia Property"). The acquisition of the Malaysia Property is subject to, among other things, the vendor of the Malaysia Property obtaining the written approvals of the Johor Port Authority and Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd, which is the sub-lessor of the Malaysia Property. Given the impact of the COVID-19 situation in Malaysia, it has taken more time than expected for the written approvals to be obtained. As a result, the sale and purchase agreement in respect of the proposed acquisition of the Malaysia Property has lapsed.

The Manager remains keen on the proposed acquisition of the Malaysia Property and will continue to work closely with the vendor as well as the Johor Port Authority and Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn Bhd to obtain the necessary approvals. The Manager will provide an update when there is a further material development in respect of the proposed acquisition of the Malaysia Property.
