Mavi Giyim Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended July 31, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was TRY 4,468.33 million compared to TRY 2,236.27 million a year ago. Net income was TRY 643.66 million compared to TRY 407.25 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TRY 1.6203 compared to TRY 1.0252 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was TRY 8,414.88 million compared to TRY 4,123.52 million a year ago. Net income was TRY 1,155.75 million compared to TRY 696.12 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TRY 2.9094 compared to TRY 1.7524 a year ago.
Mavi Giyim Sanayi ve Ticaret AS is a Turkey-based company, which designs and manufactures apparel and accessories, under the Mavi brand, for both women and men. The Company offers pants, jackets, shirts, shorts, dresses, skirts, and joggers. The Company operates more than 390 mono-brand Mavi stores with particular presence in Turkey, the United States (following the acquisition of Mavi USA), Canada (following the acquisition of Mavi Canada), Europe (centered on Germany) and Russia, more than 5,000 global points of sale, as well as an online store. It has a retail base in Turkey with more than 200 mono-brand retail stores, more than 60 franchise-operated mono-brand retail stores and more than 400 multi-brand points of sale across the country. Its wholesale partners include Nordstrom, Bloomingdaleâs and Peek & Cloppenburg.
