Chen Jianguang Meets Teng Yingming, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Chongqing Expressway Group

  On April 19, Chen Jianguang, Deputy General Manager and Member of the Party Leadership Group of China Minmetals, Secretary of the CPC Committee of MCC, and Chairman of MCC and China MCC, met with Teng Yingming, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Chongqing Expressway Group, at the headquarters of MCC in Beijing. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on further strengthening cooperation in expressway and water transportation projects.

  Chen Jianguang briefly introduced the basic situation of MCC, saying that in recent years, by virtue of its superb technology in iron and steel metallurgy, MCC has succeeded in transformation and upgrading and realized outstanding achievements in fields such as municipal infrastructure, transportation construction, high-end house building and environmental protection. In the first quarter of this year, by fully implementing the work arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on "Growth Stabilizing, Anti-epidemic and Safety Maintaining", MCC has achieved good performance in both production and operation. Chongqing, the core city of the National Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and one of the key prime markets of MCC, is now the headquarters of two subsidiaries of importance. MCC attaches great importance to the cooperation with Chongqing Expressway Group. Through the construction of the two expressway projects in the early stage, the two sides have become strategic partners with mutual trust and mutual benefit. In the future, insisting on giving full play to its advantages of the whole industrial chain in investment, financing, construction and design, MCC will further increase the depth and expand the scope of cooperation on the basis of existing cooperation projects, explore and innovate new cooperation modes, and actively participate in key projects such as municipal transportation, water transportation projects and high-end housing construction, to contribute as a central enterprise to the economic and social development of Chongqing.

  Teng Yingming also briefed the basic situation of Chongqing Expressway Group. He said that Chongqing Expressway Group is mainly responsible for the financing, construction and operation management of expressways and port and shipping infrastructure in Chongqing. In recent years, the group has actively participated in the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle and is a part of the pilot project of building national strength in transport and the development strategy of "one metropolitan area and two town clusters" in Chongqing, promoting the improvement of the construction and operation quality of Chongqing expressway network. He expressed his gratitude to MCC for its past contribution to Chongqing's expressway construction, and hoped that MCC would continue to play the advantages as a central enterprise in the fields of investment, financing, construction, talents and technology, and participate in and support Chongqing's expressway construction. Chongqing Expressway Group will, as always, make relevant work arrangements to promote the implementation of the project as soon as possible, and fulfill the duties of the project in good faith; the group will also look forward to seeking cooperation with MCC in a larger field to expand areas of cooperation and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results in the future.

  Zhu Guangxia, a member of the Standing Committee of Party Committee and Vice President of China MCC, accompanied the meeting. Heads of relevant functional departments of MCC headquarters and relevant MCC subsidiaries such as Pan Biyi, Wang Wei, Geng Yongwang, and related staff of Chongqing Expressway Group such as Liu Guoqiang, Zhang Fan, Hu Xuhui, attended the meeting.
