Notes on year-on-year comparison

Copper

At Naoshima Smelter and Refinery, periodic maintenance shutdown is planned for the period, contributing to a decrease of production. At Onahama Smelter and Refinery, the production will drop due to a decrease of receiving anodes shipped from

Naoshima Smelter and Refinery. As a consequence, the total production of refined copper will decrease approximately by 11%.

Gold/Silver

Refined gold production will increase due to an increase of treatment of raw materials and its higher content of gold.

Refined silver production will increase due to an increase of treatment of raw materials.
