The Board of Miwon Specialty Chemical Co., Ltd. (KOSE:A107590) announced the spin-off of Energy Hardened Resin Business segment on December 12, 2016. Miwon Specialty Chemical Co will remain and continue to operate investment business segment. The spin-off will follow the ratio of 0.2650000 for the surviving company and 0.7350000 for the business being spun-off.
The surviving company will operate under the name Miwon Holdings Co., Ltd. The spun-off entity will be named as Miwon Specialty Chemical Co., Ltd. The Board of Miwon Specialty Chemical passed a resolution for the transaction on December 12, 2016. The record date of the transaction is May 1, 2017. The shareholders are scheduled to meet on March 28, 2017.
Miwon Specialty Chemical Co., Ltd. is a Korea-based company engaged in the manufacture and distribution of specialty chemicals. The Company mainly produces ultraviolet (UV) coating materials, including monomers, such as acrylates and methacrylates; oligomers, such as epoxy, urethane, polyester, silicone, dendritic acrylates and others, as well as other specialties, such as photo initiators, amine synergist, sucrose benzoate, epoxy diluents and powder coating additives. The Companyâs products are used for ink, automobiles, cell phones, home appliances and others. The Company provides its products mainly under the brand name of MIRAMER.
