We write in response to your request for clarification and/or confirmation of the news article entitled "Boy Reyno group to invest P2.4B to save bankrupt Winford Casino Hotel after it amassed nearly P4B in losses in five years due to pandemic, bad decisions" posted in Bilyonaryo.com on June 18, 2022, which reported in part that:
"The Manila Jockey group of bilyonaryo Alfonso 'Boy' Reyno Jr. has committed to convert its P2.4265 billion advances into equity in Winford Hotel and Casino.
The conversion is meant to save the struggling casino hotel in the slum-infested district of Manila which has piled up a total of P3.8 billion in losses from is opening in 2017 to the first quarter of 2022.
In a regulatory filing, MJC Investments Corp. (MJIC), which owns Winford, said the board chaired by Reyno met last May to seek confirmation from its principal stockholders to confirm their agreement to convert their advances through the issuance of new shares 'within 2022 upon completion of necessary requirements.'
