Sub: Intimation regarding Appointment order of Chairman-cum-Managing Director
It is to inform that we have received a letter No. 4/1/2021-BLA dated 27.12.2022 from Government of India through Ministry of Steel appointing Shri Ajit Kumar Saxena as Chairman-cum-Managing Director on the Board of MOIL Limited for a period from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation i.e. 31.12.2025, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Brief profile of Shri Ajit Kumar Saxena is enclosed as Annexure I.
Shri Ajit Kumar Saxena has been appointed as the Chairman-Cum-Managing Director of MOIL Limited. Prior to this assignment, Shri Saxena held the position of Director (Operations) at RINL-Vishakhapatnam Steel Plant.
He has 36 years' experience in Steel Sector with wide experience in technical, operational and project management areas. He started his career as a Management Trainee (Technical) in Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) in 1986 and thereafter, held various positions during his long tenure in SAIL such as Chief General Manager, Mills, IISCO, Burnpur and General Manager, Bhilai Steel Plant, etc.
Shri Saxena holds B. Tech degree from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University in Metallurgy and has also acquired an MBA.
He is a recipient of "Young Metallurgy of the year Award'' for the year 2000 from Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India.
Shri Ajit Kumar Saxena is not related to any Director of the Company.

MOIL Limited is an India-based manganese ore producer. The Company has three segments: mining, manufacturing and power generation. The Company operates its underground and opencast mines located in the Nagpur and Bhandara districts of Maharashtra and Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh. Its Dongri Buzurg Mine located in the Bhandara district of Maharashtra is an opencast mine that produces manganese dioxide ore used by the dry battery industry. This ore in the form of manganous oxide, is used as a micro-nutrient for cattle feed and fertilizers. The Company fulfills about 46% of the total requirement of dioxide ore in India. The Companyâs annual production is approximately 1.3 million tons. It produces and sells different grades of manganese ore, such as high-grade ores for production of ferro manganese, medium grade ore for production of silico manganese, blast furnace grade ore required for production of hot metal, and dioxide for dry battery cells and chemical industries.
