MolMed: partnership in the field of rare genetic diseases with Rocket Pharma extended to three new therapeutic indications.

Milan (Italy), March, 13th 2019 - MolMed S.p.A. ("MolMed", MLMD.MI), clinical stage biotechnology company focusing on research, development, manufacturing and clinical validation of cell & gene therapies for the treatment of cancer and rare diseases, announce to have renewed and extended to three new therapeutic indications the collaboration, launched in February 2017, with Rocket Pharmaceuticals Ltd. ("Rocket Pharma"), US company specialized in the development of innovative therapies for the treatment of rare genetic diseases.

With the renewal and extension of the development and manufacturing service agreement, initially related to a gene therapy product for the treatment of only Fanconi Anemia, Rocket Pharma will entrust MolMed with the activities related to the production of lentiviral vectors to be used in three new therapeutic indications.

MolMed is also the first company in Europe to have obtained the GMP manufacturing authorization for cell & gene therapies for its proprietary products (Zalmoxis®) as well as for third parties and/or in partnership (Strimvelis, an Orchard gene therapy for the ADA-SCID).
