Mriya Agro Public : Holding defends its right to be called a reliable European partner

The Agro Holding's trading company MRIYA TRADING LLC successfully passed international audit under the ISCC* program and received the respective certificate. The document is recognized by EU member-countries and the international community and certifies that the rapeseed biomass supplied by MRIYA TRADING LLC and grown by MRIYA's farms on the Agro Holding's fields is sustainable - in other words, produced without harming the environment, in compliance with the principles of corporate social responsibility, and using effective management systems.

ISCC certification allows MRIYA Agro Holding to remain a part of the promising market for trading biomass for energy production from renewable sources. Serhiy Ovsyanyi, Head of MRIYA working group for ISCC certification noted, 'The certificate confirms that the rapeseed grown on MRIYA Agro Holding's fields as well as the respective accounting, control, labor safety and environmental safety comply with the demands of the European Parliament and confirm the status of our Company as a sustainable and reliable partner'. Thus, independent auditors from PCU Deutschland GmbH (Berlin, Germany) confirmed the Agro Holding's compliance with the high environmental and social standards for production and doing business.

Over the next several years, MRIYA Agro Holding will confirm the certificate and undergo repeat and test audits to demonstrate that it uses only the best models of doing business, such as leading methods for cultivating crops, tillage technologies, proper environmental protection (including water and air), efficient fuel consumption and operation of all business processes, as well as high level of corporate social responsibility.

* ISCC - is a certification system recognized by the European Commission and developed in accordance with the Directive 2009/28/EC of the European Parliament and the Council of Europe, which was adopted on April 23, 2009 to facilitate the use of energy from renewable sources and which aims to increase the share of biofuel and decrease the volume of carbon emissions, as well as ensure environmentally responsible and sustainable production.
